Brahman Dynasty

c. 632 – 724 AD

History

A Hindu dynasty that ruled the Sindh region of the Indian subcontinent (modern-day Pakistan) before the Umayyad conquest in 712. The last ruler, Raja Dahir, was defeated by the young Umayyad general Muhammad ibn Qasim.

The second major Islamic caliphate after the First Fitna. Capital: Damascus (661-744), then Harran (744-750). It expanded from Spain to India.

Visigothic Kingdom

A Germanic kingdom that emerged from the Visigothic migrations, centered first in southern Gaul and later in Hispania with its capital at Toledo.
