Biography
Born as Li Longji, his early reign was marked by sweeping reforms and cultural flourishing known as the Kaiyuan Era.
In his later years, he became obsessed with his favorite concubine Yang Guifei, neglecting his duty as an emperor.
Misplacing his trust in An Lushan lead to the catastrophic 755 AD rebellion, forcing him to flee to Sichuan.
Tragically, he was forced by his own soldiers to execute Yang Guifei at Mawei Station to appease their anger.
