Biography

Hamza was a skilled hunter and warrior. He converted to Islam in 616 after hearing about Abu Jahl's abuse of Muhammad.
His conversion significantly strengthened the early Muslim community in Mecca, as he was a man of great influence and physical strength.
He played a key role in the victory at the Battle of Badr, where he defeated several Quraish champions in single combat.
He was later martyred at the Battle of Uhud in 625, a loss that deeply saddened Muhammad.
